Langtang is a narrow valley situated south of the Tibetan border. It is inhabited by Tibetans and Tamang, who share a similar religion, language and clothing style. Here, mountains raise soaring towards the sky. The landscapes we cross are extremely varied; rice- terraces, gigantic rhododendron, pine forest, and in the highest parts, a rock and shrub wilderness with the fascinating backdrop of snow capped peaks. The combine trek (Langtang, Gosaikunda and Helambu) treks offer the great diversity in both nature and culture. It is relatively not crowded area. The Langtang valley up to Kyanjin Gompa is inhabited by Tamang whose religious practices, language and dress are much more to those of Tibetans and we walk to the glacier at the foot of Langtang Peak. Though there are now many commercial lodges in Langtang village, in another section you can observe the distinct life style of the original inhabitants in Langtang village that might be interesting for you I think. Heading up to Langshisa Kharka to Morimoto Base Camp the Upper Lang valley offers you marvelous views of moraine of Langtang Ri, Tilman Col, Langshisa Ri. The valley is still unspoilt, Only a few people walk up to Kyangjin Gompa and completes their trek, But when you reach to Upper Langtang Valley trek, anyone can realize that the real Langtang trek is there. Crossing over Ganja-La Pass and trek in Helambu Part is different rewards.
