– 26th June, now has to be used as directed by Nepal Rastra Bank. As per this new provision to be effective from July 1st, international airlines flying to & from Nepal will have to issure air-tickets in Nepali currency. In the past, except Nepal Airlines other airlines were using only dollars to issue air-tickets. Due to the strengthening dollars & weakening Nepali currency, Nepali travel-agents as well as the public were bearing huge loss. A circular regarding the same was issued recently to NATTA (Nepal Association of Tour & Travel Agents). After it comes into practice, fares now have to be displayed in Nepali currecny by the airlines.
